Historia

The origins of our company date back to 1947, when Manufacturas Corona S.A. commissioned a team of experts to study the sustainable use of Colombian forests, with the goal of establishing a company specializing in wood products. As a result of this effort, Madeflex S.A. was founded in 1958, dedicated to processing wood fiber using a wet process that optimizes resources, reduces waste, and guarantees high quality standards at a low cost.

For more than two decades, Madeflex S.A. has produced paneled doors under the Fortec brand, establishing itself as one of the country’s leading manufacturers due to its wide variety of designs, high-quality finishes, and excellent production.

In 1995, the company expanded its portfolio to include solid wood doors, frames, moldings, and closets, all with innovative designs and high manufacturing standards. For processing at Madeflex S.A., we have strategic infrastructure, including our own port on the Magdalena River for receiving raw materials, and a 4,000-hectare eucalyptus plantation that guarantees a sustainable and constant supply.

Since 2005, Madeflex S.A. began commercial reforestation projects with eucalyptus, in partnership with small and medium-sized producers, as well as private sector companies, contributing to sustainable development and strengthening the forestry value chain.

Today, Madeflex S.A. is positioned as a leader in the domestic market due to its competitive prices and diverse designs. Our international reach includes exports to countries such as Jamaica, Panama, Ecuador, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Aruba, and the Dominican Republic, among others.
